After my pleasing row yesterday I had intended to do a long UT piece to recover.
But MBH pade pointed (and I guess justified) comments about eating before 9pm and I checked my C2 schedule. It suggested 6 x 1.5 minutes flat out. After the 500m failure the other day, I thought that I would do a 500m without looking at the split and see what came up. I put the PM3 on to watts and off I went. 1:28.6 was excellent given that I only had a couple of sneaky looks at the PC screen to see how I was really doing. If chasing a split I could go faster I think.
The disappointing thing was that I could not keep the reps going. I popped on the third and went in for dinner. I need more tough rows to sort that out. Carrying on when the going gets tough is something that I have just got to train my body to accept if I want to progress.
Petr continues to astound me. A 1:26.6 is a fantastic time (my PB is 1:27.1). I used to judge myself on how close I got to Petr's times but it will be a while before I can attack them (and my training will have to go very well). His CTC distance is 20m and 20 watts beyond mine. Massive.
