Another sub7 - phew!

So I managed to get another sub 7 (6:56.5). Mental toughness is the key I guess. I have been sadly lacking in this area recently.

500m Splits: 1:44.7 | 1:44.7 | 1:45.4 (went a bit soft but hung in there!) | 1:41.8
(For comparison, my pb from January is sub 1:40 all the way...)

My plan running in to BIRC is to use my 40 before 40 experience and aim to do a sub 7 every day (apart from recovery days) in the run up to the race.

The 2k was not that bad, and I am sure that if I can find toughness a sub 6:50 is there for teh taking.

What bothers me is that I am hardly able to pull sub 1:40 in the home straight. I have clearly lost strength.

Metres today: 4,000
