It has been a tough week at work - hardly enough time to enjoy our arrival at the moon. But tonight, walking back from a cricket club committee meeting (only four people turned up and not one of the captains/vice-captains) I looked up at the moon.
The moon is a long, long way away. A long long long way away. Rowing there with 301 people is an amazing achievement. Did I think we'd get there when I
set that target months ago? I don't know. As people say:
"It seemed like a good idea at the time."I am certain it has helped attract new members.
As I looked at the remote moon glowing down at me I thought about a lone erger rowing and already one fifth of the way round. Amazing. Personally I like the idea of simply rowing back next year rather than anything fancy.
2) The Blog
The observant will notice this is a new look. The more observant will realise that this blog is not on the freespiritsowing.com server any more. I realised that there was no reason to have our server or our design as long as there was a link back to our site. I have therefore set up this domain and will continue to use it for the blog (until I change my mind again. I am dog tired at the moment and probably will find this a bad idea in the morning). It does mean that in time I will restrict access to the blog using the technology available through blogger. Not sure how this works at the moment.
3) The Rowing
I was very low after my last row and have not ventured in to the garage since - though a lot of this is due to work pressure. I will be back tomorrow.
