Mum and dad had the kids for the afternoon but at 3pm called saying Abigail had "cut her head" could we come over. We didn't think it was that urgent, but five minutes later another call
"Where are you? We think she needs a stitch. She wants you!"
We dashed over and found Abigail lying flat on her back steri-strips on her head (between the eyes) and fresh red blood still oozing out. This is 30 minutes after the event. Obviously lots of tears had been shed that we missed! We whizzed to the local hospital. Good old Addenbrookes - we were out within 40 minutes. Amazing medical glue stuck her back together and the scar will not be too bad. It was a proper cut though. Smiling at us in all its glory.
Anyway - here is the photo:
At bed time I was amazed to hear her say "But daddy, I want to do my rowing!" She would not be denied and set off to do "1 minute". I set the time for 4 minutes anyway and she watched Tom and Jerry - pulling every now and then and got a 149m - which is great! She did over 300 when I was standing over her and saying "pull harder" but worked out that she hated that (oops - hyper parenting!?).
