Bit off more than I could chew

So, I went for the 15,000m but didn't get close. My heart rate was identical to yesterday which meant that I was on the anaerobic threshold at 30 minutes. It then became a matter of mental toughness - something I have lost. I have always believed it takes a month of training to get mental toughness back, but have no idea of any physiological explanation for this (lactate tolerance?).

After bailing at 35 minutes I could not handle down (for the team!) and got my heart rate back up to 160 and held that for the rest of the row. I managed 14,629m in the hour.

Metres today: 16,042
