Slow recovery

I have been trying to get back up to speed. Yesterday I plugged 21,097m in to the PM2+ and set off for a 1 hour UT piece. The plan was get to an hour with my heart rate below 158 and then, if I felt OK, push for a PB. Not that I knew what my PB was mind, I just knew a 2:01 split would be enough.

I passed 60 minutes at about a 2:01 split exactly. I pushed for the last 24 minutes but it was not fun. My left leg went numb again (just like the marathon) and I struggled home, just under 1 hour 25 minutes. Still a PB though. I have got to get the seat right and save my numb leg.

Today I did a 22' UT2 (145ish heart rate, damper 7, rate 20) and found it hard. I know from experience now that when it is "hard" I am recovering from something so I did not push it.

In the last two days: 29,674m

Meanwhile, I forgot to drink loads of water after the HM so in the morning the scales hijacked me with the first sub 18 stone weigh in since 2000? I am sure after a tasty takeaway tonight it will all be back on. But hey.
