Most of the hard work getting myself fit for rowing goes unnoticed in my day to day life. I imagine walking up stairs is easier, but the progress is gradual and hard to notice.
This is my first skiing holiday since I got fit. Last year I was ill for much of the week so didn't ski much. But this year I am 100%.
What a difference. My sister challenged my to doing 50 rhythmic turns without stopping- she regarded it as a big endurance challenge. I ran out of piste at 54 and was only just beginning to feel the "burn". I suspect my limit will be nearer 100.
Time to go off and test that now!
Metres today (on the rowing machine): 0
Skiing: lots
