Back on the Pete Plan...

On Friday I started again on the Pete Plan with the awful 4,000m sprint pyramid. This is a heinous row and I went in very gently. I still just about managed to go faster than the last time I tried it - when I was also on the (never ending) comeback trail.

On Saturday I felt pretty tired after this row and didn't do anything but rest in the evening.

then tonight I thought I would try for another 10k at 2:00. I immediately felt weak legged and bailed at 2k. Now I am sitting here typing and wondering what do do next. I suspect it will be a gentle 5,000m without stressing my heart too much (UT2). I realise that I should be going at that pace anyway since I should be at least 10 second ofrf my 5k pace - which would mean 2:02 for the recovery row - and that is when I am fit!

Later... I managed the 5,000m at 145 bpm (2:07). My legs felt tired all through but I hung in there.

Metres today: 7,074

Metres yesterday: 6,110
