I did a try out row last night to see how giving blood would affect my performance. I found that whilst the athletic performance was fine (though probably a little down), where the needle went in on my arm was irritating. I don't know whether this was a reaction to the plaster or the healing process, but I was not comfortable. Of course - the vein is right in the crease of the elbow, and that gets a major work out in rowing of course!
Today was supposed to be a day off, but I wanted to row (I'v been putting weight on) so did two twenty minute UT2 pieces. Again my inner elbow was irritating. It has been itchy all day (the glue from the plaster still?) and the opening and closing of the elbow felt weird.
