So, left off yesterday expecting great things today. A 1000m pb perhaps? Or a good CTC piece. Or perhaps a series of failed attempts showing no heart at all?
I was expecting to go on holiday tomorrow full of confidence after a powerful row today but it was not to be. Back to the old me from a few weeks ago. Where was the 1:34.2 in 2 minutes from a week ago with a maximum heart rate of 179? I was expecting to repeat that then push on for another minute and get a sub 3:10 1000m but again the "why?" gene kicked in. I tried again but it was no use. I then thought I would do the CTC piece at a slow pace to cheer myself up, but gave up 800m in to the 5000!
Rubbish. Ah well, off for two weeks tomorrow with the kids. The coffin is on the car and stuffed with various buggies and a travel cot. The packing is 80% done. I am not sure if it is a holiday taking three little ones away for two weeks but I am sure they will enjoy it!
No rowing for two weeks - not sure if that is a relief or a disappointment after today.
