I fronted up today. Two daughters are down and vomiting with the norovirus so I thought I had better do this before I get ill. Lots of assiduous hand washing going on in the house now.
500 splits:
1:43.7
1:45.1
1:45.3
1:42.7
6:57.0 @ 1:44.3 (monitor said 6:56.9 but saved 6:57.0. What can you do eh?
Tried to do pacing as per this post, but it went very soft between 1,100 and 1,600 so I hung in there at 1:46 ish. I'd set up two of my old rows, a 1:44.3 and 1:44.9 (my first sub 7). It turned in to an epic race, with the original 2006 row on a steady negative split, and the 1:44.3 on somewhat of a fly and die. I had no idea what the robots were going to do. It hurt. My old leg bruise hurt. But sub 7 is nice
