Back again...it is hard isn't it!

From my post on freespiritsrowing.com

Today was my first row for a while. I have probably rowed five or six times since July. I have been ill this week but BIRC is approaching and today I felt well enough to train. When fit, a 39 minute 10k is a walk in the park for me so I thought that a 10k would be a hard but doable first row.

Think again, I fell apart at 6000 to go and crawled home in 46 minutes, having handled down twice.

I am not downhearted! It reminds me how great this sport is and gives me a reference point to look back on when I race at BIRC, hopefully going well under 7 minutes...

"good" to be back, but by gum it was hard.

Metres today: 10,000
