C2 Challenge improvement

I am so much moe healthy than 2 weeks ago.  On the treadmill last night I ran 1k in under 5 miuntes, which is almost unheard of in my adult life.  (I was 21 and at Uni the last time I ran at all).  Today was a "hard" row on the Peter Plan so I resolved to pick up some points on the C2 Challenge Series.  My earlier 6,344m was done on the way to 10k so had a lot of room for improvement.

Thinking I could do a 1,500m in 1:45 split I used Paul's law to add 10 seconds to the split.  1:55 seemed a bit pessimistic so I resolved to head off at 1:54 and "see".  As I got going I felt good despite my general emotional and mental exhaustion at the moment.  I noticed that a sub 24 minute time was possible if I kept going just under 1:54 split so resolved to do that.  I STILL felt good at half way so decided to treat the last 2k as a 2k piece and negative split it.

After 2k left I did 800m at 1:53, 600m at 1:52, 400m at 1:51 then opend up to finish at 1:42 or so for the last couple of hundred.  I am sure I could have gone faster, but still pretty happy with a 23:50.6 @ 1:52.7 which gives me my highest C2 Challenge score this year.
