Second go at the CTC. Made the fatal mistake of looking at the CTC ranking between the first and second rows and seeing that the next Free Spirit (Jonathan Ashmore) was on 1:43.3 (obtainable?). I also made the fatal mistake of cycling 46km in two hours straight on Sunday morning. not sure my legs were in their best state...
500 @ 1:44.5 "hmm, maybe a bad choice the day after a 2 hour bike ride"
500 @ 1:43.0 "Hmmm, 1:43.x? Might go for it on next..."
495 @ 1:42.5 "Er, not good. Legs putty,l arms ruined. Head in wrong place."
Awful Pacing...
Total fail with 500 to go when realised I was too fast. SHOULD have continued with plan for a 1:45 (I could have rowed the second 500 at 1:47 but my heart was not in it.
Finished with a gente 2k, but I really know I should have another go at the CTC with a realistic pacing plan.
