Penultimate row of the season - preparing for 2k

From freespiritsrowing.com...

I am now fewer than 5,000m from goal, and did a 1,000m sub 7 pace today to see if beating 7 minutes for 2k is on for the last day of the season. It went well, so I am aiming to get through 1 million on my warm down tomorrow after a 6:59.9 or better.

If I manage that then I will probably bite the bullet and enter Evesham...
Today was a gentle 5,000m as a warm up then the 1,000m, which was very smooth and relaxed. I consciously aimed to relax as much as possible and came home nicely - my heart rate was in the high 170s (fine) but I was not struggling in any way. I guess I was at 6:55 pace throughout.

We'll see if I still have the heart tomorrow...

Metres today: 8,000
