Back on it once more...

Another extended period off (a week). Last time I rowed I was not enjoying it. The seat felt wrong, my bum was sore and it just was not a comfortable experience. I then had a planned three days off following giving blood (I have a theory that the problem I had last time was with the glue on the dressing - it drove me nutty this time). But a virus kicked in and I started wheezing and hacking and coughing. More delay felt right.

So today, eight days after my last row, I got on to the machine with some trepidation. The row went well for the first time in ages. The seat was comfortable and I held the somewhat slow split of 1:59 very comfortably with a heart rate in the high 160s by the end. I rowed a 10k with a short bread in the middle to sort out the dehumidifier which was full.

All in all a good row at last.

Metres today: 10,000
