I'd done a 3 x 2,000m a couple of months ago and found it pretty hard! I was in the middle of a bad period then, so aimed to go faster for all four pieces. The under 12 World record of 7:13.4 (that long ago I could not get close to) looked like a good target pace.
I actually found it "easy" compared to the pyramid - which was awful. The last rep is supposed to be the hardest you can but I left it a bit late - only cranking it up from a 1:48 split with 700m to go and really letting go with 1:40s for the last 300m.

I didn't row yesterday (it should have been a 15,000m row) because I ate too much on Saturday night and Sunday lunch and didn't feel up to it!
Metres today: 12,000
