I love pyramids but...

...only the Egyptian ones. I have seen them in the rock four times and would go back tomorrow.

From my post at freespiritsrowing.com...

"Ow ow ow. Embarassed

First go at the 250/500/750/1000/750/500/250 pyramid today.

I have not done a pyramid for, say, 20 years and was completely ignorant of what to expect.

I misread the pacing on the PP spreadsheet and aimed for the split on the 8 x 500m. This was of course easy for the first three reps. Strangely it got harder in the 1,000m and I fell apart, had a wobble at about 700m (nearly handled down) but knew I had to finish so got to the end. Had a similar wobble on the second 750m which was very very hard then got home OK on the last two."
The wobbles were more like whimpers. I did not enjoy this at all and really am NOT looking forward to this session next time.

Metres today: 8,000

Hi Thomas,
I LOVE pyramids too! What sort of rest did you take in between - active? passive? same rest for all?
Well done on finishing though it is a tough one! Next one WILL be easier!
All the best
Simon

This was Pete Plan - so 1:30 rest for each 250m. Rest was 1:30, 3:00, 4:30 etc.

It had better be easier!
